Arsenal midfielder Jack Wilshere is a subject of interest from the Italian Serie A.
The England international, who has been labelled as an heir to former Barcelona midfielder, Xavi Hernandez in the past, is currently at a very low point in his career, as he looks to put a reoccurring bout of injuries behind him.
Wilshere’s Arsenal career appears to be in doubt with just a year left, and Italian side Sampdoria is offering him a way out of his Arsenal misery.
According to Skysports, the Italians have made an offer £6 million to be followed by £1.5 million in add-ons for Wilshere.
Arsenal has been unwilling to discuss a new deal with Wilshere with his fitness struggle still an obvious issue, but Arsene Wenger told reporters that he expects Wilshere to remain a Gunner for at least this season. According to the Frenchman, the door is still open for Wilshere to stake a claim for himself in the Gunners first team, and he expects him to recover and fight for his shirt.
Wilshere has a very young family after getting married early on in the summer, he would be reluctant to move away from England at this point in time.
