Juventus look to have found a replacement for Brazilian right back, Dani Alves, as he looks set to end his spell with the Champions League finalists.
Dani Alves has asked Juventus to terminate his deal so that he can join Manchester City in the Premier League. The Italians are desperate for him to spend one more season with them, but know that it would be difficult to convince the Brazilian to stay.
They have identified Manchester United’s Matteo Darmian as the ideal replacement for him. Darmian has had a mixed spell at United since he joined them in the summer of 2015.
He was at one point out of Jose Mourinho’s plans for the Red Devils last season, but fought his way back into reckoning and produced a solid performance for them in the Europa League final against Ajax.
He has played primarily as a fullback since his time at Torino, but Juventus wants to sign him as a wing back in their three-at-the-back system.
Darmian recently got married to his girlfriend back in his hometown, and a move back home to the best team in the Serie A could be appealing to him.
