Highly-rated striker Patrick Bamford is keen for a chance with Chelsea, according to the Daily Star website.
The Chelsea striker, currently on loan at Middlesbrough, has established himself as one of the country’s best young forwards with 17 goals in 37 Championship appearances this season.
And Bamford, who has been named the Championship Player of the Year, is now waiting to discover whether he will finally get his chance at Stamford Bridge.
As quoted on the Sky Sports website, he said: “I don’t know. It’s a difficult question to be honest as I don’t know myself.
“Obviously it’s a big thing for me to play for Chelsea especially after I made the move from Forest because a lot of people said I went for the wrong reasons, which wasn’t true at the time.
“I went there because I wanted to play for a top team like Chelsea and, hopefully, I get that chance.”
