Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho, is confident of sealing a deal for Valencia’s exciting youngster, Carlos Soler. The teenager has been a shining light in an under performing Valencia team this season, and his performances has alerted the interest of several top European teams.
After being alerted of the player’s potential by super-agent Jorge Mendes, Mourinho is said to have sent scouts to watch the 20 year old throughout this season.
He has scored three goals in 18 La Liga games this season, and Mourinho believes he can help the player develop faster in Manchester.
Valencia are also keen on keeping the player at the club and are planning to offer him a new bumper deal that would make him one of the highest teenagers in Spain.
He currently has a £25 million release clause written into his current contract, and Valencia want to increase that price with a new deal.
United believe that they can sign him this summer for a significantly lower amount.
Mourinho wants to build his team around young and energetic players, and sees Soler as one with that potential description.
