Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho is keen on reuniting with his former player, Nemanja Matic after he conceded that negotiating with Tottenham president Daniel Levy for Eric Dier would be complicated.
Mourinho’s is determined to sign a strong holding midfielder this summer, as he seeks to replace Michael Carrick and bring out the best in Paul Pogba.
Tottenham’s Eric Dier is the Portuguese manager’s first choice, but with Spurs building a team capable of challenging for the Premier League and European glory, they would be very reluctant to sell Dier, who is one of their most influential players as well as best friends with their star man Dele Alli.
Mourinho signed Matic for Chelsea three years ago, and the midfielder helped him clinch the league title with the Blues that season. He is said to be an easier target to sign as Antonio Conte would be re-stocking his players in the summer.
