Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho, is planning to turn the Red Devils into an attacking power house built around Zlatan Ibrahimovic. Mourinho is desperate to keep Ibrahimovic at the club for one more season on a £10 Million deal. This is because he wants to add more players and form a solid attacking unit at Old Trafford.
According to reports this morning, Mourinho has set aside £150 Million for the signing of Atletico Madrid’s attacker Antoine Griezmann and Everton’s forward Romelu Lukaku. He hopes to build an attacking team with the duo partnering Ibrahimovic in what would be the deadliest strike force in the world.
Antoine Griezmann is on the transfer wish list of many top teams, but United and Real Madrid seem to have stolen a march on their rivals as they hope to capture the player before the transfer window opens. He is said to be open to the idea of working with Mourinho, but he would not leave Atletico for a club that is not in the Champions League.
Lukaku has told Everton that he will not sign a new contract at the club, and as the current top scorer in the EPL, there would not be a shortage of suitors for him.
But it is believed that he has decided to play for the Red Devils with close pal Paul Pogba next season. Mourinho, who sold Romelu Lukaku at Chelsea, now wants him back as he has proven himself at Everton.
