Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho’s frustration is beginning to boil over as the club has signed only one of his transfer targets this summer.
The Portuguese manager had given the club a list of players he wants to sign before the beginning of preseason but has been left frustrated as the preseason has commenced and only one of those players have come through the door.
The Red Devils have been left frustrated in their pursuit of their main transfer target, Real Madrid’s Alvaro Morata.
Madrid, sensing Manchester United’s desperation have asked for £79 million if they want to sign the attacker who is not even a first team regular. Manchester United consider that fee too high and they are set to go back and try again for his signature.
The transfer of Morata has also been made more complicated after it emerged that AC Milan goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma is set to sign an extension to his deal at the Italian capital. Madrid may now turn their attention back to David De Gea.
But Manchester United are not interested in adding De Gea in any move to bring Morata to Old Trafford.
The Red Devils have also lost Michael Keane to Everton.
