As the transfer window approaches, Real Madrid’s move for Manchester United goalkeeper David De Gea, keeps getting closer.
Reports from Old Trafford claim that Jose Mourinho knows he will lose the Spain number one to Real Madrid this summer, but would not let him go without getting value from the Spanish giants. Per the source Mourinho would ask for Alvaro Morata and Raphael Varane in exchange for the goalie.
Real Madrid wants to sign De Gea, and it is believed the Spaniard also wants to go back home, and it has been speculated that Real are ready to cough up £60 Million to land their target.
But the Red Devils don’t have any money problems, this means that Mourinho will be able to ask for a player swap, and he wants to explore that option.
Real Madrid would willingly let £50 million rated Morata to leave, but it is believed that they would not allow Varane to leave even for a transfer fee. They see him as the leader of their defence in the future.
Mourinho played Varane ahead of Pepe during his time at the Bernabeu, and it is believed that the pair still have a good relationship and would love to work with each other again.
