Jose Mourinho wants to sign player he previously failed to acquire
According to the press, Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho, is set to swoop for Everton’s Ross Barkley. The Scouser has refused to sign a new deal believed to be worth around £100,000 per week. Everton manager, Ronald Koeman has asked the midfielder to sign a new deal or risk being sold this summer.
Ross Barkley wants to play in Europe and Koeman has apparently promised him that the club would be in Europe within the next two season, but Barkley does not seem to believe him.
Per the source, Jose Mourinho tried to sign Ross Barkley when he was at Chelsea, but his £35 Million offer for the player was rejected by Everton, who informed Chelsea the player was not for sale at the time.
But Everton are now willing to cash in, as they are unable to reach a new contract agreement with the player.
Mourinho is set to go back for the player he wants Barkley to complement his current crop of home grown talents, and believes under his management the England international can reach his undoubted potentials.
