Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp is not worried about the slow pace his team has made over the signing of his transfer targets. The German tactician has so far been able to complete deals for only Chelsea’s Dominic Solanke and AS Roma’s Mohammed Salah.
The Reds are still locked in talks with RB Leipzig over the transfer of £70 million-rated Naby Keita, but Klopp understands that these type of transfers don’t happen overnight. Klopp stated he was patient as he has come to realise that major deals take more time when they involve English teams.
The Reds have resumed training for preseason with only Dominic Solanke present as a new player.
Meanwhile, the future of defender Mamadou Sakho is still in doubt as the Frenchman did not train with the rest of the Reds squad on the resumption of the preseason on Wednesday.
According to some reports, he has agreed to personal terms with Crystal Place, but Liverpool is still holding out for £30 million which is proving to be a stumbling block in completing deal.
Many fans expected Klopp to forgive the French defender and give him another chance at Anfield, but the German appears to have other ideas.
