Bayern Munich’s Portuguese youngster Renato Sanches could be on the move, less than a year after joining the Bavarians from Benfica. The European golden boy of 2016 has seen his career stalled since joining the German champions, and he is said to be looking for a move away from the club this summer.
Sanches starred for Benfica last season, before continuing his good run of form at Euro 2016 where he helped Portugal claim the European crown once again.
He almost signed for Manchester United last summer but chose to join Bayern because he could win trophies there. Manchester United Manager Jose Mourinho admitted that if he had been hired as the manager of Manchester United at the time the teenager changed clubs, he would have persuaded him to join him in Manchester.
The Red Devils believe that they can now sign the midfielder who managed only 5 starts this season.
However, the now face competition from reigning Italian champions Juventus. The Old Ladies of Turin are desperate to sign the teenager as they look to add more youthfulness to their squad this summer. They have made the loan moves of Bayern defender Medhi Benatia and Chelsea’s Juan Cuardrado permanent, and want to add Sanches to that list of new additions this summer.
