Liverpool and Tottenham have been joined in the race for the signature of Bayern Munich and Brazilian winger Douglas Costa by Italian giants, Juventus.
The player looked to be heading to the Premier league after he reportedly held talks with Liverpool and Tottenham representatives over the course of the season, but he now appears to be closer to moving to Serie A instead.
The English media are reporting that Juventus officials have notified their counterparts in Munich that they would be flying in for talks in the coming weeks.
Costa has struggled to nail down a starting place at Bayern this season and is looking for a new club that would offer him more first team opportunities. He was signed for £25 million in the summer of 2015, but the Bavarians now value him for around £40 million.
Liverpool and Tottenham see the Brazilian as a player that would help them in Europe next season, however, the lure of winning trophies with Juventus in Italy may be too tempting for the player to turn down.
