The latest Chelsea gossip today is split between who will be taking over from Antonio Conte at Stamford Bridge this summer and a couple of potential player deals.
The Telegraph is claiming that Bayern Munich and Poland striker Robert Lewandowski, 29, is the number one summer transfer target for Chelsea.
The Evening Standard appears convinced that Napoli boss Maurizio Sarri is set to become the new manager at Stamford Bridge. Their thinking is that Carlo Ancelotti will be taking over from Sarri at the Italian club following talks between the club’s president Aurelio de Laurentiis and Ancelotti.
While the Standard is convinced that the new Chelsea manager will be Sarrri, the Express has put forward the name of Fulham manager Slavisa Jokanovic, who has apparently emerged as a surprise candidate for the Chelsea manager’s job.
One man not in the running is former Chelsea midfielder Frank Lampard, who is wanted by Championship side Ipswich, according to the Mirror.
Finally, Sky Sports are reporting midfielder Willian, 29, is set for a move to Old Trafford, to join up with his former Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho.
