Liverpool legend Steven Gerrard has admitted he’s ready to leave Anfield in the summer and play for somebody else.
Gerrard, now 34, has made over 700 Liverpool appearances and has previously rejected the opportunity to leave Anfield for other teams.
However, he has not been offered a new contract and Gerrard has hinted he’d move elsewhere to continue his career if no new deal arrives.
As quoted on the Sky Sports website, he said: “I’m only contracted until May, as it stands.
“I’m here until the end of the season and want to make the most of it. I certainly won’t be retiring this summer. I will play beyond this season.
“We’ll have to wait and see if that’s at Liverpool or some where else.”
