Liverpool look set to break their transfer record again. The Reds paid £39 million to secure the services of Egyptian winger Mohammed Salah only a few weeks back, and are ready to break the bank again for another target.
According to Mirror Sport, RB Leipzig’s midfielder Naby Keita has his heart set on donning the jersey of the Merseysiders come next season. Per the source, Keita already knows what shirt number he wants to wear at Anfield and has informed his club of his desire to move.
Leipzig remains adamant that Keita is not for sale, but Liverpool is willing to go all the way and test them with a huge offer. The Reds have quoted £70 million for the 22-year-old who scored eight goals and assisted as many this season. He has been hailed as the complete midfielder, and many believe it would be a major coup for Liverpool if he joins them.
Keita is set to hold talks with his club about his future this weekend, and many believe he is going to remain adamant that he wants to move to England.
