Arsenal and Liverpool have suffered a major setback in their pursuit of inter Milan’s Brazilian youngster, Gabriel Barbosa after his agent declared that his client is happy in Milan, and will “fight” to be a success at Inter.
The Brazilian prodigy has had a tough time in the Italian capital since making the move from Santos last summer. He has yet to start a league game, and seems to have lost the goal scoring touch that made him such a hot prospect back home in Brazil.
But his agent has come out to clarify his client’s future, insisting that his client signed for Inter for the long term.
He stated that there was no clause guaranteeing that Gabriel will start games written into his contract, and as such, he would have to fight for a starting place in the team.
Liverpool and Arsenal are long-term admirers of the Brazilian, with Arsenal making a move to sign the player last summer before he moved to Inter Milan, and Liverpool was said to have enquired about a possible loan move during the January transfer windows.
