Liverpool and Chelsea are reportedly eyeing a shock swoop for Germany international, Max Kruse.
The tall attacker impressed with Werder Bremen last season after scoring 15 goals and providing seven assists in just 24 outings. This form has seen many top European teams show their interest in the 29 years old.
Kruse has had a fairly nomadic career so far, playing for five Bundesliga teams in the last seven years. But he really enhanced his reputation with last season’s performance.
Liverpool has plenty of attacking options, but Klopp wants Kruse to add depth to his squad as well as experience as his young attackers fail to deliver when the tough games come by sometimes.
Antonio Conte likes to have a tall striker that would serve as a backup to his team, and want Kruse to play a similar role to what Fernando Llorente played for him at Juventus.
Bremen have placed a £16 million price tag on his head which is not likely to deter the duo of Premier League suitors. Now that Chelsea has secured the signing of Alvaro Morata, they may make an offer for him soon.
