In the latest attempt by Juventus to sign a Premier League player, the Italians are weighing up moves for either Liverpool’s Emre Can or Chelsea’s Nemanja Matic.
Juventus who missed out on Champions League glory with a loss to Real Madrid in the final are set to revamp their squad and Max Alegri is believed to have prioritised his midfield.
The Italians have been in talks with Chelsea over Matic for some time now, despite rejecting the Blues bid for Alex Sandro and Gonzalo Higuain.
Matic’s transfer looks in doubt as the Serbian has reportedly informed the Blues that he prefers a move to Old Trafford with his former manager Jose Mourinho.
Emre Can also appears settled at Anfield after helping Liverpool qualify for next season’s Champions League. The Reds are currently discussing a new deal with the young German who scored some fantastic and important goals for them last season.
Matic’s first team place has been thrown into major doubt after the signing of Tiemoue Bakayoko, and if the blues continue to insist that they would not sell to a rival, that may ease his transfer to Juventus.
