Liverpool and Chelsea rejected by target who prefers move to Spain
Chelsea and Liverpool have been dealt a major blow in their pursuit of a coveted striker. The English duo had hoped to lure the Argentine Paulo Dybala, to the Premier League next summer, but that looks unlikely now following reports in the media.
According to reports, Dybala has asked his agent to seek out the interest of Spanish giants Barcelona and Real Madrid. He is said to prefer a move to la Liga over the English Premiership.
This has dealt a huge blow to Chelsea who believe he fits the profile of a Diego Costa replacement and can replicate the Spaniard’s performances in the English game. Costa has been linked with a move to some of Europe’s big teams, and there are indications that a team from the Chinese league may come for him again when the transfer window open.
Liverpool on the other hand are looking to offload Daniel Sturridge and believe Dybala is the best player to replace the injury prone English man.
Both clubs will be hoping that the 23 year old has a change of mind before the summer transfer window opens, but if either Barca or Real Madrid do show an interest, then the chances are he will end up in Spain.
