Liverpool and Man City plotting a stunning and audacious raid on Man Utd
According to the Daily Mirror, Liverpool and Manchester City are offering Man Utd defender Luke Shaw, a new lease of life after the player got on the end of some unwanted attention from the media.
Shaw has been heavily criticised by Jose Mourinho on several occasions this season, though Mourinho did compliment the England defenders performance today against Sunderland.
Man City are looking for a new full back after they realised that all their full backs were old with tired legs. They have prioritised the signing of Tottenham’s Danny Rose, however should they fail to land him, their second alternative is Shaw.
Tottenham have set an asking price of £50 Million for Rose and this may scupper City’s deal for the player making Shaw a more likely option.
Liverpool want Shaw as their first choice left back, they have used James Milner in that position throughout this season, as Alberto Moreno who looks to be on his way out has been ineffective.
But, United are highly unlikely to sell to two of their most bitter rivals and with there an apparent thaw in relations between the player and his manager, it looks an almost impossibility.
