Liverpool and Man Utd receive a big boost in race to sign experienced Dane
The premier league duo have received a major boost in their pursuit of Istanbul favourite, Simon Kjaer. The defender has been on the radar of both teams, with a summer move in mind.
According to reports from Turkey, Manchester United sent scouts to watch the Dane for what could be the last time before they make a bid in Fenerbahce’s last game against Akhisar.
Liverpool have also been monitoring the player as they hope to sign a capable partner for Joel Matip.
The efforts of the English is set to pay off, as reports claims Fenerbahce has already identified replacements for the defender. The Istanbul giants are said to be ready for any offer that would arrive from the English teams.
Simon Kjaer has established himself as one of the club’s most important players since joining them from Lille in 2015.
Jose Mourinho would be happy to hear that the club would consider their offer as he plans to build a defensive team at Old Trafford.
Liverpool may move first as they expect a return to Europe next season. The Reds need a player like Kjaer to add some combativeness to their back four.
