Reports claims Liverpool and Tottenham Hotspur have received a boost after Nilton’s move to Inter Milan broke down, according to the SportsDirectNews website.
It was widely expected that the Brazilian was on his way to the San Siro for a fee of £4 million, but a row over payments has ruined the deal.
And Cruzeiro’s general manager, Valdir Barbosa, confirmed the development with now Nilton has been left wondering what his future holds.
The midfielder’s £4m move to the San Siro was reportedly almost done but
“NIlton is in Brazil and will join the group on Thursday to play the match against Corinthians,” Barbosa told reporters.
“The agreement with Inter has been cancelled because of their proposal to pay in instalments.
“That wasn’t accepted by our sporting director Alexandre Mattos, so Nilton remains our player.”
