Liverpool have an in-form Luis Suarez to keep banging in the goals right now, but if he gets injured that have nobody. So it has emerged that boss Brendan Rodgers is after Anzhi Makhachkala striker Lacina Traore. After his agent has claimed that the Merseyside club have made enquires.
The giant Ivory Coast hit-man scored the winning goal in Thursday’s Europa League tie and Traore’s representative, Dmitry Selyuk, claims Liverpool are leading the race ahead of Udinese to sign the 22-year-old.
“Aside from Liverpool, Udinese are another on the list of clubs to have made contact about the purchase of Traore,” Selyuk, told Izvestia. (Sky Sports)
Traore doesn’t have much of a reputation in the game just yet, but if he continues to perform well and attract big clubs like Liverpool, then he could well be making a move this coming January. And I recommend that boss Brendan Rodgers goes out and buys, because he is in trouble if Suarez gets injured.
