Liverpool is set to add another player to their team who may help them solve their long term left back problem.
The Reds are expected to complete the signing of Hull City’s Andrew Robertson by the weekend. The Scot has been linked with a move to Anfield for the past couple of weeks as Jürgen Klopp continues to sweat on the form of his current left back options.
Liverpool has struggled to find a good left back since they parted ways with John Arne Rise, with Klopp opting for the right footed James Milner last season.
Despite Hull City’s struggle and ultimate relegation from the Premier League, Robertson has continued to impress on an individual level since he joined the Tigers from Dundee United in 2014. He currently has just a year left on his current contract, and Liverpool hopes to sign him for £8 million.
Meanwhile, the Reds are also set to allow Lucas Leiva leave after accepting a £5 million offer from SS Lazio for the Brazilian who has spent the last ten years with them.
