Liverpool ‘close’ to sealing deals for Chelsea and Blackpool stars!
Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers is on the verge of getting his transfer work done early as he looks to seal the deal for Chelsea’s Daniel Sturridge and Blackpool’s Thomas Ince, who are almost certain to move to Anfield next month.
Talks are advanced on both players, with Rodgers desperate to get his transfer business done as early as possible when the window opens.
Rodgers ignored the chance to land Sturridge, 23, in the summer as he was worried about his character.
However a change of heart has seen him return for the England striker, who is currently out with a hamstring injury.
Sturridge is keen on moving to Anfield after growing disillusioned at a lack of openings at Chelsea and being used on the flanks when he plays.
Meanwhile, midfielder Ince, 20, left the Kop for just £250,000 18 months ago but has starred at Bloomfield Road. (The Sun)
The Kop boss is desperate to add more strength to his squad and see’s the two young men as brilliant and exciting talents for now, and the future. But do not be surprised if he does anymore deals in January as he is looking for more players to bring in.
