Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers is on the verge of getting his transfer work done early as he looks to seal the deal for Chelsea’s Daniel Sturridge and Blackpool’s Thomas Ince, who are almost certain to move to Anfield next month.

Talks are advanced on both players, with Rodgers desperate to get his transfer business done as early as possible when the window opens.
