Brendan Rodgers has handed Liverpool a timely boost by agreeing a new long-term contract.
The highly-rated young manager has 12 months, plus the option of another year, remaining on his deal but owners Fenway Sports Group have rewarded him for taking the club back into the Champions League with terms that are set to run to 2018.
He has transformed the reds back into a Champions League side, and one of the most entertaining teams in Europe.
And the Daily Mail website, claim a deal has been struck, despite him putting pen to paper.
Rodgers has yet to put pen to paper but that is a formality.
