Barcelona wants Liverpool star Phil Coutinho to offer them a lending hand as they try to sign him.
The Catalans made a £70 million bid for the Brazilian a fortnight ago, but the Reds rejected the offer, with Jurgen Klopp going further to state that they are not a selling club.
Barcelona has been tracking Phil Coutinho for the past few seasons. They reportedly asked for an agreement in place for the transfer of the Brazilian when Liverpool wanted to sign Adama Traore from them in 2015, which Liverpool did not accept and the winger joined Aston Villa.
Coutinho is tied to Liverpool until the summer of 2022 after signing a new long term deal at Anfield last summer. The Reds are not willing to sell him at any price as they look to make the most of their return to the Champions League.
Barcelona believes Coutinho would be the perfect replacement for his friend Neymar who is on the verge of joining French side PSG.
Coutinho is happy at Liverpool and recently reiterated his desire to help the club return back to the top of European football when he was questioned about his future.
