Liverpool have eyes on landing highly-rated Spaniard

Reports have claimed Liverpool are locked in a battle for Spain’s next superstar Saul Niguez.

The Gunners scouts have jetted out to Spain on a number of occasions to watch the highly-rated lad, who is currently on loan at Rayo Vallecano.

Manchester United and Chelsea are also in the hunt for the 19-year-old, who has been a revelation in La Liga this season.

And despite the fact the midfielder recently signed a contract extension with the Spanish side until 2018 that includes a £19.5m buyout clause, the Metro website claim Liverpool could be prepared to pay the fee after reportedly holding preliminary talks with Saul’s father, José Antonio.
