Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers has heaped praise on striker Luis Suarez by revealing the Uruguayan is the player of the season and hopes that he can help them make a late charge for the final Champions League spot.
“He has been phenomenal – that is not just an opinion as his manager.
“If I look across the board this is a guy who had to play alone up front because he was the only striker we had for nearly six months and never missed a day’s training and played every minute of every game.
“His performances have spoken for themselves. There’s many great players in this league but for me he has been absolutely outstanding.” (London Evening Standard)
The striker has hit an impressive 25 goals this season and is vital to the reds hopes of trying to get back to the very top of the game. So if he can carry on like he has been this season, Liverpool could sneak into that fourth spot.
