Liverpool will have to fend of the attentions of Italian side AC Milan if they want to nail down the services of PSG defender Mamadou Sakho.
Sakho, who handed in a transfer request last week, wants to leave the French capital after not being guaranteed a first-team place under new manager Laurent Blanc.
Liverpool made an £8m bid for the defender earlier this month, as Brendan Rodgers looks to bolster his defensive options with uncertainty remaining over the futures of Daniel Agger and Martin Skrtel. (Daily Star)
The man is real quality and could be a star at Anfield if they can beat off the Serie A side and acquire his services.
