Liverpool inch closer to landing major long term target

Liverpool is close to signing their number one summer target than they would imagine after it emerged that the Germans have already begun the search for his replacement.

The Reds have seen two bids rejected by the Germans for Naby Keita who joined them only last summer from Austrian side, Red Bull Salzburg. His stock has risen so high that Liverpool is prepared to obliterate their transfer record to sign him.

Leipzig, who do not need the money, have given into the player’s desire to join the Reds just to avoid having an unhappy player in their team. Keita has reportedly been isolating himself from his other team mates in training and other team bonding exercises after expressing his desire to join the Reds. He recently injured his team mate, Diego Demme as a retaliation for a harsh tackle from the same player during training, a fracas ensued that caused the training to be abandoned.

Leipzig has reportedly been searching through scouting reports to find a good replacement for the midfielder who scored eight goals and provided eight assists in the league last season. It has been reported that the club already had plans to find a replacement for the player this summer, but they wanted him to play alongside his replacement for at least one season.

Liverpool is expected to return with a last bid for Keita which would be accepted by Leipzig. © 2017 Frontier Theme
