Liverpool have reportedly made contact with Inter Milan over the availability of their Brazilian youngster, Gabriel Barbosa.
Gabigoal has suffered since he moved to Italy after making a name for himself at Santos following the departure of Neymar. The young attacker was the toast of the Brazilian youth side, and he is still highly regarded around Europe with many of his suitors believing he only needs a change of environment for him to get back his form.
Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp currently has Daniel Sturridge, Divock Origi and Danny Ings as his attacking options, but he expects one of the trio to go out on-loan while youngster Ben Woodburn has been used as a midfielder throughout the preseason.
Southampton, Stoke City, Leicester City, and West Ham are also very interested in the forward, but Liverpool would be his preferred destination because of their participation in the Champions League this season.
The Reds, however, want a loan deal first to be sure he can adapt to the demands of the Premier League before considering a permanent move.
