In the latest round of Liverpool news, the Reds have been linked with a move for Brazilian forward, Luan, as the race for his signature heats up.
The Brazilian has been in fine form for Brazilian side Gremio, and his performances for the team earned him his first Brazilian cap this year. He has continued to steadily build his reputation as one of South America’s best talents.
Liverpool wants to add to their Brazilian contingent after Jurgen Klopp became impressed by the attitude and application of Lucas Leiva, Philippe Coutinho, and Firmino. He has reportedly been getting glowing reports about Luan’s progress and wants to sign him soon.
The Reds are being rivalled by Turkish side Fenerbahce who want to sign him this summer and avoid a bidding war with top European sides next summer. Fener sees him as a valuable investment whom they can get a huge fee for in the future.
Liverpool has been slow to act on their interest because of the work permit issue he is likely going to have. It would be interesting to see if the Reds would try to beat the work permit system for his sake.
