Liverpool’s lack of transfer activity may not be bothering Jurgen Klopp, but the German would not be happy to hear that his beloved midfielder and fellow German, Emre Can is on the brink of moving away from Anfield.
The German won the Confederations Cup this summer, adding it to the Goal of the Season awards he won for his strike against Watford.
Can is yet to sign a new deal, with only twelve months left on his current contract with the Reds. The club has been in negotiations with his representative before the end of the season, but there has been limited progress so far.
Reports emerged this week that he would not be signing the new £100,000 per week deal being offered by the Reds and they might be tempted to cash in on him this summer.
This has alerted the attention of his long term suitors, Juventus as well as a fellow Italian team, SS Lazio.
Per the source, the Reds would be willing to sell him for just £14 million this summer.
Can is expected to return for pre-season next week and the Reds will try to convince him to sign a new deal before deciding whether to sell him or not.
