Napoli have warned Liverpool that they must smash their transfer record to sign Gonzalo Higuain this summer.
The Argentine forward is currently on international duty with his country for this summer’s Copa America and has been heavily linked with a move to Brendan Rodgers side.
However, Partenopei chief Nicolas Lombardo insists the Argentine will not move for less than his release clause.
As quoted on the Metro, he said: ‘The club stresses that the Argentine has an existing contract clause of €94,736,000 (£67m).
‘No bids below that figure will be accepted, those who want the player will have to match that valuation.’
