Liverpool prepared to make their biggest ever investment in the transfer market after landing their long term target
Liverpool is ready to spend as much a £200 million in transfers between now and Thursday when the transfer window shuts.
The Reds have been slow in making signings this summer with the uncertainty over their participation in the Champions league the major turn off for most of their targets. But now that they have qualified, Jurgen Klopp is prepared to spend big for his targets.
The Reds have completed the signing of Naby keita who would arrive next summer. He joins for a club record £55 million, but the Reds are not done and they have made bids for Arsenal target Thomas Lemar after the Gunners dropped their pursuit of the winger.
Jurgen Klopp is also expected to bolster his defence with the signing of Virgil van Dijk as they have not identified any alternative to the Dutch man.
However, no matter how many new arrivals, the Reds are set to keep hold of Philippe Coutinho. The Brazilian is a target of Barcelona who has seen two offers for him rejected by the Reds.
