Reports from Germany are claiming that Liverpool are set to revive their interest in Germany and Bayern Leverkusen winger Julian Brandt. According to the reports, the Reds are ready to battle with Bayern Munich for the signature of the youngster.
Earlier reports claimed that Brandt had accepted Bayern Munich’s offer, but those reports have turned out to be false.
Liverpool tried to sign Brandt during the January transfer window but a deal could not be done with Leverkusen. The Red’s believe that with the influence of Klopp and the lure of Champions League football, they would be able to persuade the winger to snub Bayern’s advances and sign for them.
Liverpool did not sign any player during the January transfer window, a decision that has proven to be bad, after they suffered a series of injuries and suspensions.
Klopp has admitted their mistake at not adding players to their ranks, and informed reporters that they would be investing heavily this summer to show that they have learnt their lesson.
Brandt is one of the most exciting young players from Germany and has previously admitted that moving abroad was not a particularly bad idea.
