Any club looking to sign Liverpool’s Philippe Coutinho this summer should be ready to break the bank.
According to the British press, in reacting to an inquiry from French giants, PSG, Liverpool have placed a £87 million price tag on the head of the Brazilian.
Coutinho arrived at Liverpool in January of 2013 as a relatively unknown Brazilian youngster but has developed into one of the game’s most talented players performing significantly for both the Reds and his senior national team. He recently captained the Brazilian national team which is a sign of how far the “little magician” has come.
Barcelona is firm admirers of Coutinho and even attempted to use Neymar to lure the Brazilian to Camp Nou, but the Brazilian is very committed to Liverpool.
PSG are looking to refresh their team after an underwhelming season which saw them lose their Ligue 1 crown to AS Monaco and crash out of the Champions League disgracefully to Barcelona.
Their enquiry about the availability of Coutinho comes as Marco Verratti considers his future. They believe if they can sign Coutinho, the Italian would stay.
