Liverpool have been linked with a move for AS Roma Argentine star, Leandro Paredes. According to Italian sources, he is Jurgen Klopp’s number one target this summer.
Roma are said to be shopping the player around in other to ease their financial burden, and would gladly accept an offer in the region of £22 million.
Paredes has found regular playing time hard to come by, starting only 10 games, and coming from the substitute’s bench a further 14 times. However, with the recent injury to Danielle De Rossi, he is in line to enjoy a run in the first team.
Roma has two months to decide whether to cash in on the player or keep hold of him, after evaluating his performances for the team.
Liverpool had a bid for the midfielder rejected last summer, but are still hoping to do a deal with the Italians for the 22 year old.
Liverpool are expected to make at least one signing from the Italian league this season, with other reports linking them with a summer move for Inter Milan’s winger, Ivan Perisic.
