Liverpool speak to Italian about shock summer deal

Liverpool have spoken to former Real Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti about potentially replacing Brendan Rodgers this summer.

Ancelotti, who was recently sacked by Madrid after two years in charge, is reportedly considering a summer move back to the Premier League.

The 55-year-old Italian secured the La Liga title and Champions League, along with the Copa del Rey, Uefa Super Cup and the FIFA World Club Cup during his time in La Liga.

However, Real decided to relieve Ancelloti of his duties in Madrid who look set to appoint Rafa Benitez as his replacement.
