Liverpool want to rescue Hatem Ben Arfa from his Newcastle United turmoil.
The French winger will head a list of French players out of the exit door at St James’ Park when the season comes to an end, as boss Alan Pardew looks to overhaul his squad and bring in some fresh faces.
United have suffered a dramatic slump in form since France midfielder Yohan Cabaye left for PSG in the January transfer window, and a number of players are not happy that the team are going in the wrong direction.
And that will alert Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers who has been a fan of the French International for some time and would be willing to nail down his signature or the right price.
And according to the Metro, Rodgers will offer £6million to tempt Newcastle into doing business, with the Anfield club hopeful a deal can be agreed.
