Much of the hard work being done by the hardworking attacking players at Liverpool is being undermined by their poor defence.
The Reds started the season brightly winning their two Champions League qualifying game against Hoffenheim but started their Premier League season with a 3-3 draw at Watford thanks to their all too familiar defensive problems. They did bounce back with wins over Crystal Palace (1-0), and Arsenal (4-0) before capitulating 5-0 at Manchester City in their last Premier League game. They also dropped points against Sevilla in their Champions League opener despite coming from behind to lead the Spaniards 2-1. The Reds welcome a very resilient side in Burnley and they would need to defend better if they want to get a result against the Clarets.
Burnley started the season with an impressive win over Chelsea at Stamford Bridge, they did lose their next game at home to West Brom, but they have followed that up with wins over Blackburn in the League and Crystal Palace in the Premier the latter victory following a draw at Wembley against Tottenham. They beat Liverpool at home last season and they would be looking to add to their growing list of upsets at Anfield in this game.
Liverpool is hurting from their past two results and we see them bouncing back with a win in this game but probably conceding at least once.
