Liverpool’s first signing of the summer appears very close after reports emerged that they have struck an agreement over personal terms with one of their targets.
The Reds are reportedly close to bringing back former Chelsea winger Mohammed Salah to the Premier League. Per the source, the Reds have agreed to personal terms with the Egyptian worth around £90,000 per week, and hope to wrap up the deal before the end of the week. Salah is happy to return to England where he believes he has unfinished business after a poor stint at Chelsea.
It is believed that the deal is being held down by AS Roma’s valuation of the attacker. The Reds have been told they need to pay at least £30 million for the winger, a figure that they believe is slightly more than the actual value of the player.
However, with the player’s contract expiring in 2019, Roma may be forced to sell him for less than that eventually, but they want to still hold out for that amount as they believe other suitors may come in for the player.
Salah scored 15 times and provided 11 assists for Roma this season.
