German side RB Leipzig have made it clear that they will not be selling midfielder Naby Keita for anything less than £70 Million.
The latest transfer rumours are claiming the last season’s Bundesliga runners-up have accepted that the player wants to leave but it will not be on the cheap.
Keita was instrumental in Leipzig impressive run to second spot and has attracted interest from a whole host of clubs, most prominent among them is Liverpool.
£70 Million is a lot of money to pay but the 22-year-old played with a maturity beyond his years and at such a young age probably has a good 10 years ahead of him at the highest level, something that Liverpool will consider as they weigh up whether to spend such a huge amount of money on one player.
It would be a record fee for the Reds but with at least four competitions ahead of them next season and their rivals spending big amounts then it is probably only a matter of time before they start spending this sort of money if they want to remain competitive at the highest level.
