Manchester City has joined Chelsea in the race to sign Real Madrid right back Danilo. The Brazilian has been on the radar of Chelsea since the beginning of the transfer window as the Blues look to bring in competition for Victor Moses.
However, they have not made as much progress as they should have and this has opened the door for Manchester City to join the race.
Danilo moved to Real Madrid from FC Porto in the summer of 2015, but has failed to command a starting position, and remains a squad player as Zinedine Zidane prefers to play Daniel Carvajal. This has led the Brazilian who has already won two Champions League to keep his mind open for a move elsewhere.
Pep Guardiola is looking to restructure his Manchester City side that fell short of winning the Premier League last season and has allowed, Gael Clichy, Pablo Zabaleta and Bacary Sagna to leave the Etihad this summer. But, he has been able to sign only Kyle Walker as a full back. The Spaniard believes Danilo can play at both right and left wing back position and wants him to join him at the Etihad.
Real Madrid is willing to let him go if any club agrees to pay £30 million.
