Manchester City manager Manuel Pellegrini, has confirmed that defender Vincent Kompany will be out for at lest a month with a calf injury.
Pellegrini said: “We were worried. I’d just made the change and was then told Vincent needed to be substituted.
“It was a pity really because he was working the whole week and was ready. I didn’t want him to play the whole game because he was coming back after 40 days.
“But I did not expect him to be injured again after five minutes.
“We are trying to find the reason why he has so many injuries in his calf. But that is a medical problem I cannot answer. We are going to do all the tests that he needs to understand why.”
