Barcelona midfielder Ivan Rakitic, continues to be linked with a transfer to Man City, according to the latest rumours coming from the media.
Rakitic is quoted as saying that he would like to play under Pep Guardiola, which in turn has lead to speculation that the player could be City bound.
Rakitic is an experienced midfielder and considered one of the better players in his position, but just because he says he wants to play under Guardiola does not mean that it will actually happen.
That said, Rakitic would probably be a great success at City, he certainly would fit in with Guardiola’s style of play and brings with him a mass of top level experience.
The chances of any deal being done in January are remote, but it could easily happen next summer and at that time Guardiola will definitely be wanting to bring in certain players that are 100% his choice.
Rakitic signed with Barcelona from Sevilla back in June 2014, he has made 75 first team appearances for Barcelona and 81 international appearances for Croatia.
