Manchester City is closing in on a move for AC Milan teenage goalkeeper, Gianluigi Donnarumma. Pep Guardiola was alerted of the keeper’s contract standoff at Milan and is said to have asked City’s Hierarchy to get him the player if he becomes available.
Gianluigi Donnarumma is currently the most talented young goalkeeper in world football at the age of just 18. He broke through the Milan first team at the age of 16 and has remained a regular for the former European champions since then.
AC Milan new owners are planning for how to return the club to its glory days, and they see Donnarumma as a huge part of the club’s future. They are unwilling to let him go, but Manchester City believes they can turn the player’s head with a fat salary and a transfer offer worth around £30 million.
The Citizens are not the only English team monitoring the player, Manchester United are also interested in signing the player. The Red Devils are planning for life after De Gea as it continues to look like the Spaniard will move back to Spain with Real Madrid.
Jose Mourinho has him on his list of potential replacements for De Gea, however, Atletico Madrid’s Jan Oblak is the Portuguese manager’s first choice.
