There has been some fresh reports claiming Manchester City are ready to make a £40m swoop for Barcelona’s Cesc Fabregas.
The Spain midfielder, who arrived at the Nou Camp for £35million in 2011, has struggled for form this season despite playing more minutes than any other player since Tata Martino took charge.
And with Barca on the verge of winning nothing this season, Barcelona’s supporters have become increasingly frustrated with the 26-year-old.
The Metro website claim a poll conducted by Marca, 50 per cent of fans voted for Fabregas to leave at the end of the season in an overhaul of the club.
And that could reportedly alert the Premier League giants, who would love to bring the man back to the Premier League.
However, they will have to fight off competition from arch rivals Manchester United, who are also keen on landing him this summer.
