Man City v Chelsea – Likely line ups, formation and betting prediction
Tomorrow lunchtime Man City host league leaders Chelsea in a game of the utmost importance, it is arguably the biggest game for both sides so far this season and could have a significant impact on how their respective seasons pan out.
Team selection and formation are the most critical pre match decisions the managers need to make, get them right and they put themselves in an excellent position, get them wrong and it could be disastrous.
It is very likely that both sides will go with what is expected, City will probably go with one up front in a 4-1-4-1 formation, while Chelsea are almost certain to go with the 3-4-3 formation.
Likely line ups
Manchester City (4-1-4-1)
Chelsea were very lucky in the first half against Tottenham, they were thoroughly outplayed and should have gone in to half time down by a couple of goals, it was only because Spurs lacked that killer touch that Chelsea managed to stay in the game and go on and win.
Man City will know that they have to do what Spurs failed to do, which is to make their chances count, if they do not then there is every chance that the Blues will grab a win.
Man City will go at Chelsea from the get go, they simply cannot allow Chelsea to get a foothold in the game and therefore we predict the following
Man City to be leading at half time @ 2.75
Man City/Man City HT/FT @ 3.50
Man City to win @ 2.20
